Powered by a simple light bulb…my Easy Bake Oven was my absolute passion and favorite past time as a child, whereby I baked and created countless cookies and cakes of beauty. Hurrying home from school, I would fling my books on a nearby table and plop in front of the TV to watch my favorite stars such as Florence Handford and the renowned French Chef, Julia Child. From these days forward, an innate love for whipping up luscious desserts and cookies with a unique twist and a designer flair lived on inside of me.

Discouraged by the lack of opportunity for women in the culinary field, I opted for a career in nursing and received my Bachelor’s degree from Temple University…however…my endless desire for creating my very own collection of high quality, all natural gourmet cookies “like no other” lived on.

Being an at home Mom and weaning myself from a career in Nursing, I began my journey as an entrepreneur. In the spare time allotted from my maternal duties, I awakened my passions and created my first sinfully indulgent cookie in my home kitchen. Fashioned by trial and perseverance, a recipe was born whereby a luscious marriage of pure peanut butter and smooth rich chocolate created a mouthwatering delicacy that is both all natural… and a work of art! This cookie has since become known as my “Peanut Butter Mousse” creation and…my Signature Cookie.

Family parties and entertaining guests in my home became my channel and inspiration for continuing to create my very own cookies using unique and unusual blends of flavors and textures to create irresistibly delicious cookies to die for! My decadent creations would then be served as part of my elaborate sweet table for my guests to enjoy for their culinary pleasure. My guests… most of which I would call “cookie connoisseurs” would rave about the endless array of my decadent menagerie and always came back for more! The joy on their faces and their overwhelming praises thrilled me…filling my heart with an unbelievable sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. To be able to please the palates of those I cared about and ultimately the rest of the world…became the driving force to continue my definitive goal.

With my remaining cookie varieties yet to be born, my suburban kitchen became my haven for the continued creation, testing, and cultivation of my one of a kind handmade cookies.

My kitchen now becoming cramped with cookies…and with small profits from my HOME baked goodies, my journey culminated into my life long dream and its’ ultimate expression…hence, the birth of “Cookies by Diane”. Venturing outside my home I purchased my very own retail store where thousands of my handmade gourmet cookies are fashioned and fresh baked daily on the premises.

At my retail location I create innovative gourmet cookie gifts with extraordinary presentations for all occasions, holidays, and seasons. Ordinary…is not a concept at “Cookies by Diane”, but rather fresh and inspiring gift ideas. My latest expansion includes a captivating collection of wedding, special occasion, themed and trendy favors with your choice of cookie flavors that you fancy along your choice of my many artfully designed custom cookies that will complement your party theme.
